As founder of Love City Heights, Carlos Quezada leads the organization with a passion for art and community. Carlos has been a multilingual (English, Spanish and French) educator for over 20 years. In addition to completing the CBEST he also was awarded his Bachelors of Art degree. Carlos lives and works in City Heights and collaborates with local businesses and artists. After organizing a neighborhood block party in 2017, that included local artists, Carlos received a Proclamation from the Mayor's office declaring June 24th, Love City Heights Day. In 2018, Carlos participated in the City Heights Weingart Library "New Americans" photography book project. He continues to collaborate and provide leadership to the LCH team.
