In 2018, Carlos participated in the City Heights Weingart Library "New Americans" photography book project. He continues to collaborate and provide leadership to the LCH team.
Edwin Lohr is a City Heights resident and Mid-City Ambassador for the surrounding areas. In addition to his service to North Park, Edwin is the Events Coordinator for The Avenue Business Group, which is community based support for businesses to enhance the City Heights business community along the University corridor. Through his work with the City Heights Town Council Edwin was introduced to Carlos Quezada, from there “The Avenue Mural Project” was born. This project is a collaboration between Love City Heights and The Avenue Business Group. Edwin has not been a stranger to the arts. His love for abstract art began in high school. He had a Coming Out art show on his 40th birthday with over 40 pieces on display. One of his paintings was awarded People's Choice at the Del Mar Fair. Edwin enjoys his role as Community Outreach for Love City Heights. He is always working on creative projects and looking for University Avenue locations to add more murals and public art.
